Selected Surveying Experience
Client: USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service
Project Summary : Utilizing GPS, ANDERSON-BOGERT has conducted a number of wetlands easement surveys for the Natural Resource Conservation Service in the following Iowa counties: Black Hawk, Buchanan, Delaware, Des Moines, Jasper, Iowa, Polk, and Tama. Our work included the following: Meeting with the property owners and the NRCS representative prior to commencing the survey to ensure that the easement area was properly identified and delineated, and meeting with them again after completion of the survey to ensure it met the expectations of the landowner and the NRCS. Performing the field survey work necessary to establish the boundaries of the easements that comply with the requirements set forth in the Code of Iowa. Establishing enough control to tie each survey to the appropriate UTM NAD 83 coordinate system (in meters). Also, showing the same survey as related to the Latitude and Longitude in decimal degree format using the WGS 84 datum with the projections identified. Preparing a plat showing the limits of the easement and establishing coordinates at each corner of the easement in the previously described projections. Setting permanent markers with an above ground witness post at each corner and every 250-500 feet along the perimeter. Creating new ties for all section corners used in establishing the easement boundaries.
